公告本校五專一至三年級期中與期末考試週實施方式調整事宜

公告：114學年度第1學期開始取消「各科目由學校統一安排之期中與期末考時間」。

說明：

1. 為提升專科部低年級（專一至專三）課程之彈性與多樣性，讓教與學更加符合當代教育趨勢，重視學生學習歷程與成果，也賦予教師更多教學設計的自主性，期望營造更具啟發性與互動性的學習環境，於113學年度第2學期4月的行政會議通過取消「各科目由學校統一安排之期中與期末考時間」。
2. 原期中與期末校訂共同考試方式，調整由各科教師依據課程內容與教學進度，自主規劃最適合的評量方式與時間，可包括多元評量、專題報告、實作演練、口頭簡報、學習歷程檔案等，藉此鼓勵多元評量、強化教學創新。
3. 為確保教學時數符合教育部每學分18小時之規定，各科目須依課程規劃授課至學期結束，如任課教師未安排考試，該時段應照常上課，以保障學生受教權益。
4. 考試期間請假方式均比照學期上課之請假規定辦理。
5. 考試仍須依「文藻外語大學考試規則」規定辦理，不得請事假，因急病無法應試者，應由本人或代理人於考試當日以電話、通訊軟體或電子郵件通知任課老師。

Effective from the 1^st semester of Academic Year 2025 (AY114), the university-wide unified schedule for midterm and final examinations for Year 1 to Year 3 students in the Five-Year Junior College Division will be discontinued.
 

Details:

1. In line with contemporary educational trends and to enhance curriculum flexibility and diversity for the first to third years of the Junior College Division students (Years 1-3), the university aims to better support student-centered learning, emphasize learning processes and outcomes, and grant teachers greater autonomy in pedagogical design. This policy change was approved during the April 2025 Executive Committee (2nd semester of the AY113) to formally abolish the previously mandated unified midterm and final exam schedule.
2. Teachers are now responsible for independently determining the most suitable assessment methods and schedules based on their course content and instructional progress. Assessment approaches may include, but are not limited to, diversified methods such as written exams, project-based reports, practical demonstrations, oral presentations, and learning portfolios. This change is intended to foster assessment diversity and encourage innovative teaching practices.
3. To comply with the Ministry of Education's requirement of 18 instructional hours per academic credit, all courses must continue throughout the semester. If no formal examination is scheduled, classes shall be held during the designated initial examination period to ensure students' right to complete instruction is upheld.
4. Requests for leave during assessment or class periods must follow the same procedures as regular class attendance.
5. All examinations must adhere to the Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages Examination Regulations. Personal leave during examinations is not permitted. In the event of a medical emergency that prevents a student from taking an exam, the student or their representative must notify the course teacher on the same day via phone, messaging app, or email.
